ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) —After a beautiful first day of Fall, building clouds dominate the overnight hours as lows near 60. We kick off the work week with cloudy skies with rain moving in during the morning hours. Showers look to last throughout much of the daylight hours, winding down through the evening. Temperatures will take a hit and will only be be expected to climb into the low 70s. However, for those of you heading out west to Orchard Park for the Bills games, it looks as though the bulk of the rain will be done by gametime, but maybe not for the tailgate. We can't rule out an isolated shower or two, but today's model guidance shows promising signs of less rain ahead of game time. Scattered showers will stick around for Tuesday. When it's not raining, you can expect those clouds to dominate our skies. Tuesday's temperatures are only expected to climb into the low 70s thanks to the overcast skies and additional rain. Wednesday leans on the wetter end too, with another round of widespread showers likely more focused before sunset, temperatures look similar to Tuesday as well into the low 70s. By Thursday for the most part, showers outside of some fringe ones on the eastern end of the region should be out of the forecast. We'll still lean on the cloudier side but it does certainly look drier. Friday we turn back to sunnier skies with high pressure in control again, but we will be feeling Fall with highs in the upper 60s. 8-Day Forecast Looking ahead for next weekend, it looks like, for now, we will remain dry. Temperatures for both days will stay in the low 70s, which is very seasonable for this time of the year. Let’s not get too ahead of ourselves and focus on this weekend for now!
