PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- The Petersburg Bureau of Police are conducting a shooting investigation on Rome Street Sunday evening. The bureau posted on Facebook at 6:20 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22 to tell the public that officers were conducting a shooting investigation in the 1300 block of Rome Street. A male victim was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Anyone in the area who may have heard or seen anything is asked by the bureau to contact them at 804-732-4222. 8News has reached out to the bureau for additional information.
