PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- A man has been arrested in connection to a robbery that took place in Petersburg this weekend. According to the Petersburg Bureau of Police, officers responded to the 600 block of E. Washington Street on Saturday, Sept. 21 at around 8:59 p.m. to the report of a strong-arm robbery. When officers arrives on scene they located the victim of the incident, conducted a search of the area and found a suspect that was taken into custody without incident. 32-year-old Avery Joyner has been charged with strong-armed robbery as well as assault, and was held without bond.
