LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Lexington Police are investigating an incident after a pipe bomb was found at a park Sunday morning. According to the fire department, a person brought a pipe bomb around 10:40 a.m. into the fire station on Woodland Avenue. That person claimed they found the bomb at Woodland Park. Fire crews evacuated the area and called police. LPD’s Bomb Squad were able to dismantle the bomb. No injuries were reported, and no other devices were found in the park. An investigation into where the bomb came from is ongoing.
