HONOLULU (KHON2) -- Art lovers around Oahu are invited to experience Honolulu Hale's newest art gallery, featuring pieces painted by kupuna at the Makua Alii Senior Center. Get Hawaii's latest morning news delivered to your inbox, sign up for News 2 You The Honolulu Department of Parks and Recreation's colorful exhibit will feature 100 original oil paintings from 22 artists at Honolulu Hale's Courtyard. Community invited to create pool art around the State Capitol Twenty-two artists from the Original Oil Painting Pals and New Beginnings Artists art clubs will be featured, with each artist ranging between 64 and 89 years old. This year's exhibit will be "the 11th time the group has featured their vibrant artwork within Honolulu Hale." Attendees were even able to meet the artists on Wednesday to talk story and learn more about their work. The public is invited to enjoy the free exhibit through Oct. 17 every weekday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information, visit the DPR's Senior Clubs's website or call (808) 768-3030.
