DICKEY COUNTY, ND (KXNET) — An investigation continues tonight after one person died in a crash last Wednesday in Dickey County.
A 41-year-old man was driving a GMC Sierra south on Highway 281 around dawn. But as he slowed his pickup to make a left turn on State Line Road, a Subaru Ascent approached, driving south.
That SUV was driven by an elderly Ellendale man, and he had a female passenger in the car.
North Dakota Highway Patrol says the SUV struck the pick-up, causing both vehicles to veer off the road.
The two in the pick-up were transported to a hospital in Aberdeen.
While the pick-up driver and the SUV passenger sustained minor injuries, the 63-year-old man driving the pick-up was seriously injured. He died of those injuries on September 18.
Investigators are still learning more about what caused the crash.
