MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- Several families were displaced after a fire erupted at an apartment complex in Bethesda on Sunday afternoon, according to the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS). In a post on X at 4:23 p.m., MCFRS spokesperson Pete Piringer said there was a fire on the second floor of Village Square/Bethesda Park apartments on Crossfield Court and that residents were evacuating. However, the fire displaced seven apartment units, affecting several families, according to Piringer.
