CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Cranston Police Department hosted its annual Fall Festival at Mulligan’s Island on Sunday.
The event featured food trucks, craft vendors, K-9 demonstrations, and performances by local high school bands.
Community Outreach Capt. Justin Dutra said that he expected at least 5000 people to attend by the end of the day.
“These festivals are primarily done to showcase the City of Cranston,” he said. “All the great services we have in the city, our nonprofits, police and fire services, and all the businesses and great establishments.”
The department added that part of the proceeds from the event will be used for its CPDCares community outreach program.
