More rain ahead this week
Sep 22, 2024
As we progress through the evening hours, chances for showers, and a thunderstorm or two, continue under mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures fall through the 70s.
Most of our rain chances will be out by 2 AM. Most rainfall amounts are expected to be up to around 0.5", but locally higher amounts may occur in the heavier rain bands or storms.
We see a pause in substantial rain chances on Monday, with only a slight chance for rain. More rain is on the way for Tuesday.
Humidity levels tonight and Tuesday reach the "Humid" category on the Muggy Meter.
Some uncomfortable humidity returns on Sunday and Tuesday.
Temperature-wise, highs will stay in the 70s all week long and we'll turn mainly dry after Tuesday. Any additional rain chances will depend on where potential tropical development in the Gulf of Mexico goes...stay tuned for updates. Should we see the remnants of a tropical system pass through, it will not be until the weekend or later.
