Three Point Fire burns 6 miles SE of Lucky Peak

UPDATE (Sept. 22 3:45 p.m.): The Three Point Fire, burning 6 miles southeast of Lucky Peak Reservoir, is now 400 acres in size. The Bureau of Land Management says crews are constructing a dozerline and holding the fire at Blacks Creek road. UPDATE (Sept. 22, 2:10 p.m.): The Three Point Fire is now over 150 acres in size. No structures are threatened. BLM Idaho Fire says crews are working to stop forward progress of the fire, and the cause remains under investigation. BLM adds the fire is impacting Blacks Creek Road, and asks people avoid the area if possible. ORIGINAL STORY: The Bureau of Land Management reported the Three Point Fire at 11:20 a.m. on September 22, 2024.Located 6 miles southeast of Lucky Peak, the fire has burned approximately 25 acres. Containment details are still pending, as crews have yet to investigate the cause.We will provide updates as new information becomes available.
