BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — On Friday, September 20th, the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) and the Burleigh County Sheriff's Office conducted a Sobriety Checkpoint on ND 1804, between Yeagan Road and Burleigh Avenue. The enforcement event took place from 10:00 p.m. to midnight, in both the north and southbound lanes. During this period of time, 200 vehicle passed through the area — 18 of which had been consuming alcoholic beverages, and were tested for impairment. One of these drivers was arrested for Driving Under the Influence. North Dakota Highway Patrol releases results of sobriety checkpoints Following the checkpoint, NDHP troopers also conducted a saturation patrol in the Bismarck-Mandan area. During this period, two individuals were arrested for Driving Under the Influence. In addition, one person was arrested for possession of psilocybin mushrooms, and another for Driving with a Suspended License. An additional seven warnings and one citation were also issued.
