Photo: Kerri Phox/The Atlanta VoiceThe state of Georgia is once again in political play and with 16 electoral college votes up for grabs, the Peach State has risen to the top of the wish list of both current United States Vice President Kamala Harris and former United States President Donald Trump, the two people running for the position of Commander-in-Cheif.Trump Trump is scheduled to return to Georgia on Tuesday, Sept. 22. He will speak about tax codes and American manufacturing at the Johnny Mercer Theatre which is located inside the Savannah Civic Center in downtown Savannah, according to his campaign. Photo by Donnell Suggs/The Atlanta VoiceTrump’s running mate, Ohio Senator J.D. Vance will return to Georgia- he was here last week as well- on Thursday, according to the Trump-Vance campaign. Vance will hold a rally in Macon, one of Georgia’s oft-overlooked cities, but also one of the state’s largest. He will also host a “Get out the Vote” rally in Flowery Branch later that evening. Hall County, where Flowery Branch is located, has historically voted Republican in past presidential elections.Harris held a rally in Cobb County last Friday and saw an energetic crowd of supporters hear her plans to restore many of the reproductive rights that have been overturned by the Dibbs decision.
