WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said it is investigating a fatal shooting that happened on Friday night in Northeast D.C.
Police said that at about 11 p.m., they responded to the 4500 block of Quarles Street for the report of a shooting.
Teen killed after crash in Southeast DC
When officers arrived, they saw evidence of a shooting but no victim.
Soon after, police found an injured man at a nearby DC Fire and EMS fire station.
The man was transported to the hospital where died.
The man was identified as 30-year-old James Gripper of Bladensburg, Md.
