(KRON) –  Stolen U.S. Postal Service keys, credit cards and identification were found in the possession of a probationer with a felony warrant, according to the Santa Clara Police Department.  At around 9 p.m. on Friday, Santa Clara officers noticed a car that was parked in a handicapped spot without the proper placards or license plates. The police said the suspect provided a false name and date of birth when officers made contact.  Police said a short time later the officers discovered the suspect’s real identity. The suspect was found to be on probation with a felony warrant issued by the U.S. Marshals Service. VTA employee fatally shot in San Jose facility A search of the vehicle yielded drug paraphernalia, nearly half a pound of methamphetamine and a variety of stolen items, including U.S. Postal Service keys, stolen mail, credit cards, and identification documents.  Santa Clara PD said the suspect attempted to fraudulently apply for a credit card at a nearby Target store.  The suspect was arrested and booked into the county jail for multiple charges, including identity theft, possession of stolen property, drug possession and fraud.
