HATFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts is hosting its 14th annual Will Bike for Food event on Saturday in Hatfield. Hundreds flock to second night of the 164th annual Belchertown Fair Each year, the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts brings the community together to raise money for individuals experiencing food insecurity and hunger. This year, they're hoping to make their $250,000 goal, which would provide 750,000 meals to the community. This annual fundraiser unites cyclists of all levels and ages to pedal for change on the scenic routes of the Connecticut River Valley. Participants can choose between rides ranging from 100 miles to a 4-mile family fun ride, and they can register as an individual or with a team. When the rides finish, the celebration continues at an after-party with food and drinks supplied by various local restaurants and breweries. To top it all off, 22News Meteorologist Brian Lapis will be this year's emcee! If you are still interested in supporting, it is not too late! The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts encourages anyone hoping to support to head out to the Lion's Club Pavilion in Hatfield on Saturday morning to register in person or cheer on the riders. The first ride kicked off at 7 a.m., and the others will leave in waves throughout the morning. To see the full list of times and the route map, visit their website.
