FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A man is in critical condition after being shot in South Fresno Saturday evening, the Fresno Police Department announced.
Police say just before 9 p.m. they responded to 2nd Street and Orleans Avenue for a report of a victim of a shooting.
Upon arrival, responding officers reported a man in his early 20s suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper torso.
Responding units performed life-saving efforts before he was transported to a local hospital where they say he is in critical condition.
Investigators say the shooting occurred outside and are actively working with witnesses to gather suspect information.
Detectives are working to determine the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
