Kids can attend San Diego Zoo, Safari Park Halloween events for free in October

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- The San Diego Zoo is gearing up for the spooky season this October and kids can visit Halloween events for free all month long.
This Halloween season, the whole family is invited and kids 11 and younger can get in for free with a paid adult to the San Diego Zoo's HalGLOWeen event and the San Diego Zoo Safari Park's Autumn Festival on weekends in October.

HalGLOWeen at the San Diego Zoo is taking place Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in October from 5 to 9 p.m.
The event will feature ghoulish live music, acrobatic spider performers, and give attendees the opportunity to meet unique wildlife every weekend night.
New this year is the Enchanted HalGLOWeen Forest, where attendees can see the Polar Bear Plunge "like never before" as they walk through a forest of glowing stones.

Families can also enjoy the Autumn Festival at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park every Saturday and Sunday in October until 7 p.m.

Guests can meet scarecrows, learn to line dance, wander through a maze, learn interesting facts about burrowing owls and enjoy "culinary comforts." End the night with floating lanterns during a "choreographed and lighted musical journey around the world."
