SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- The San Diego Zoo is gearing up for the spooky season this October and kids can visit Halloween events for free all month long. This Halloween season, the whole family is invited and kids 11 and younger can get in for free with a paid adult to the San Diego Zoo's HalGLOWeen event and the San Diego Zoo Safari Park's Autumn Festival on weekends in October. San Diego Zoo vets perform first-ever C-section for North American porcupine HalGLOWeen HalGLOWeen at the San Diego Zoo is taking place Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in October from 5 to 9 p.m. The event will feature ghoulish live music, acrobatic spider performers, and give attendees the opportunity to meet unique wildlife every weekend night. New this year is the Enchanted HalGLOWeen Forest, where attendees can see the Polar Bear Plunge "like never before" as they walk through a forest of glowing stones.
