TOPEKA (KSNT) - The National Barrel Horse Association (NBHA) is hosting its state finals at the Stormont Vail Event Center. Barrel horse racers from all over the state have competed in other regional competitions to get here. The event consist of racing around three barrels in the quickest amount of time. We talked to the NBHA director, Ashley Banister, about how hard it is to get to this point. "Each of the districts keep track of attendance at all of their district races each year and then points across the year," she said. "So, then they can qualify back for the state finals the following year."  The racers who qualified from their runs this weekend will be competing on Sunday, September 22, in the championship round.
