RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The RVA East End Festival took place on Saturday to raise money for music and art programs at Richmond Public Schools. Starting at noon on Saturday, Sept. 21, people came to Chimborazo Park to enjoy a free, family-friendly event with a musical lineup like no other. Those that attended this event helped raise money for music and cultural arts programs at public schools in the East End communities, as well as enjoying local artists and vendors. Irving Perdall -- a Church Hill resident -- spoke with 8News about what this event means to him. "I think that it's a good representation out here, right now what you see [is] a mix of Church Hill," Perdall said. "We should do more of this definitely -- for me, they could have one once a month."
