FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – One person is dead, and one person is in life-threatening condition following a two-vehicle crash just east of downtown Fort Wayne on Saturday. Allen County Dispatch confirmed the crash happened at 4:13 p.m. near the intersection of Maumee and Grant Avenue. The Fort Wayne Police Department arrived on scene and found one male driver lying on the ground outside of his Hyundai Elantra. He was taken to the hospital in life-threatening condition. The other male driver was found pinned inside of a Dodge Charger. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died. The initial investigation indicates that speed may be a potential factor in the crash. This is an ongoing investigation.
