BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The West Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office is investigating after a body was found along the Mississippi River in Addis on Saturday, Sept. 21. According to the sheriff's office, around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, deputies responded to a call of a partially decomposed body being found along the bank of the Mississippi River in Addis. The West Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office stated in a Facebook post, "Our flotilla is currently handling the recovery process." The sheriff's office said they will provide more updates as more information becomes available. No further details were provided at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.
