(KRON) – An employee of the Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) was fatally shot at a VTA facility in Chaboya Division Yard, General Manager and CEO of VTA Carolyn Gonot confirmed in a press conference on Friday. In response to the incident, VTA said the company had increased its security presence at the Chaboya bus yard over the weekend. In a press release, VTA said it is “committed to supporting its employees during this difficult time, and mental health professionals have been made available to employees and their families.” Felon with over $50K in warrants, ghost gun arrested in Vallejo VTA said the sheriff’s office deemed the shooting as an isolated incident.  The sheriff’s office did not share the victim’s identity.
