Tonight’s rain will taper to showers overnight, and low temperatures will be near 55 to start off Sunday. The Autumnal Equinox occurs at 8:43 am Sunday, starting off the Fall season. Clouds will be accompanied by the chance of rain, and temperatures will be in the mid-60s through the day. Although our chance of showers diminishes as we head into Monday, a persistent northeasterly flow will keep clouds around through most of the week ahead. A northeasterly flow tends to bring low clouds, patchy fog, mist, and drizzle to Southern New England. To accompany this persistent pattern, temperatures will hold in the mid-60s during the day and drop into the lower 50s at night. The pattern looks to break with a change of the wind direction on Friday.
