The Latest Northeast Wisconsin Forecast from Storm Team 5... A warm front centered over west central Wisconsin flared up up a few showers and storms Saturday afternoon and evening, but the cells started to weaken a bit as they moved away from the frontal boundary. For your Saturday night, I am expecting a widespread opportunity for showers and thunderstorms across the area. The highest severe weather risk stays off to our west, but any storm that moves through could produce some heavy pockets of rain, gusty winds and small hail. The coverage should become a bit more scattered to isolated around daybreak Sunday. However, the threat for showers and storms does continue Sunday as the cold front will start to slow down over eastern WI. Expecting the showers and a few storms Sunday to be concentrated over Green Bay, Fox Valley and the lakeshore for the morning into the very early afternoon. Certainly have a rain jacket or umbrella handy at the Fox Cities Marathon tomorrow. Rainfall totals will be on the order of 0.25-0.75in, with heavier downpours sending locations over an inch of rain. Our stretch of 80s comes to an end Sunday with high temperatures in the middle and upper 60s, perfect timing with fall starting at 7:43am! On top of the rain, plan for a breezy day with winds out of the N 10-20 MPH Sunday evening the skies should start to open up, giving way to clear skies overnight and temperatures falling into the middle and upper 40s. High pressure will build in and keep things rain free across the area Monday with highs in the upper 60s. This will shield us from a developing storm system to our south. This system will throw at us some extra cloud coverage Tuesday and I cant rule out a shower possibly grazing our lakeshore counties, but the chance looks very low. Otherwise, highs into the 70s to finish the week with plenty of sunshine!
