NORTH COLLEGE HILL, Ohio (WDTN) -- A player was injured by gunfire during a Friday night football game near Cincinnati.
North College Hill's game against Woodward was cut off early after shots were fired outside of the stadium, according to North College Hill superintendent Eugene Blalock Jr.
A spokesperson with Cincinnati Public Schools told 2 NEWS affiliate WLWT that a football player from Woodward Career Technical High School was injured in the shooting. His condition is currently unknown.
"Cincinnati Public Schools recognizes this tragic event and our support remains with the student, their family, friends and school community. CPS’ Crisis Response Team will be on-site to provide support to students as they return to school Tuesday," a statement from CPS said.
This is the second shooting incident to occur at the football stadium in the past two weeks. No one was injured in the Sept. 6 shots fired investigation.
Blalock said Friday's game will be the last game played at North College Hill's home stadium this season.
