CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The 60th annual Festival in the Park kicks off in Freedom Park on Friday afternoon. The festival, which has been around since 1964, consists of quality music, art, and a variety of food for visitors. Some of the entertainment will include performances on the Main Stage, the Charlotte Folk Society Stage and the We Rock Youth Stage. There will also be a Family Fun Zone located near the main art exhibit. The attractions include the Way Out Swing, the Rapid Slide, a Fun House and an Inflatable Obstacle Course. Admission is free to get into the festival. Limited parking is available at Atrium Health Myers Park for $15 on Friday and $20 on Saturday. Attendees are asked to consider taking an Uber or Lyft and to be dropped off at 2435 Cumberland Avenue or 1600 Princeton Avenue. The festival runs from 4-9pm on Friday, 10am-9pm on Saturday, and 10am-5pm on Sunday. For more information, click HERE.
