ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – University of Rochester Medical Center teamed up with Rochester Spinal Association to host the Spinal Cord Injury Health Fair as part of SCI Awareness Month on Saturday. The fair was held at Pieters Family Life Center on Commons Way in Rochester. The fair had presentations on topics crucial to those living with SCI, including mental health services, prevention and treatment of pressure sores, bowel and bladder function, sexual satisfaction after SCI, and more. Presenters include doctors, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, and individuals living with SCI. The Rochester Spinal Association is dedicated to improving the quality of life for those living with spinal cord injuries / disabilities in the Greater Rochester area.
