Braintree man has multiple plans for $1 million lottery prize

DORCHESTER, Mass. (WWLP) - A man from Braintree is the winner of a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$2,000,000 50X Cashword” instant ticket game.

According to the Massachusetts Lottery, Mark Farina of Braintree chose the cash option and received a one-time payment of $650,000, before taxes. Farina plans on using his winnings for home improvements, his retirement, and his family.
The winning ticket was purchased at Resendes Market on Washington Street in Braintree. The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus for the sale of this ticket.
