KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- One Kansas City-area man is dead, and another is seriously injured following a head-on crash Friday night in Johnson County, Missouri. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 45-year-old Peter Goss of Mission Hills, Kansas was driving a Chevrolet Suburban on Highway 50 when he traveled into the opposite lanes of traffic. Victim dies from injuries nearly nine months after Kansas City hit-and-run MSHP said this led him to cause a head-on crash with a Subaru Legacy, driven by 65-year-old Kevin Wilson of Lee's Summit, Missouri. The Johnson County Coroner pronounced Wilson dead just before 12:15 a.m., and Goss was taken to a hospital by emergency responders. It is unknown whether Goss or Wilson were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. This is fatal crash 56 and fatality 63 for Troop A of MSHP.
