Our stretch of dry days finally came to an end yesterday, where for the first time in nearly two weeks, the Fort Wayne International Airport recorded measurable rainfall. Plenty of rainfall and damage occurred across parts of our area as well with the showers and storms that moved through Friday afternoon. Friday storms end dry spell and cause damage With the combination of residual moisture, and high overnight humidity values, areas of dense will continue this morning. Temperatures just before sunrise will be in the upper 50s. A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 10 AM for all of our counties. Temperatures climb back into the mid-to-upper 60s through 10 AM. Skies will be partly cloudy for most of the morning after the fog lifts. A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 10 AM Saturday for the counties shaded in gray.Areas of dense fog are likely Saturday morning. Once the morning fog lifts, we'll see quite a bit of sunshine, becoming mostly sunny entering the afternoon, with dry conditions and sunny skies throughout the afternoon and evening. Another hot day is in store across the area, as high temperatures will climb back into the upper 80s, with some spots possibly reaching the 90-degree mark once more. We will at least be dry for one of the days for the Johnny Appleseed Festival! Rain chances return as another weather system approaches Sunday afternoon and evening. High temperatures then reach the lower 80s. Saturday and Sunday morning will be dry for the festival, before rain/storms move in Sunday PM. A few showers could linger into Monday before more rain tracks through on Tuesday from another area of low pressure. This is great news for the drought conditions in place! High temperatures will cool back into the 70s on both days. Drought has worsened this week.Better rain chances are in store though for the upcoming week! We'll stay in the 70s the rest of the week with a couple of slight chances for more rain. Stay tuned for updates. For now, we'll take as much rain as we can get! Saturday: AM areas of dense fog.
