San Diego weather: expect a warming and drying trend as we head to the weekend
Sep 20, 2024
Today, light and scattered rain showers passed through the county, totaling less than a tenth of an inch. Most of the shower and thunderstorm activity was focused on Riverside and San Bernardino counties. The heavy downpours from some of these thunderstorms have been beneficial, providing crucial support for firefighters working to manage wildfire activity in the area.
Our early season storm system that moved across Southern California today is now positioned near the California-Arizona border. It will continue to exit the region quickly by Saturday, allowing high pressure to build in and shifting the storm track well to the north.
Prepare for a lovely and warm weekend as high pressure takes hold. Above-normal temperatures and dry conditions are set to continue through the first week of fall, promising a warm and dry outlook. Enjoy the beautiful weather!
