We are tracking a stalled low-pressure system circulating offshore which is bringing gusty winds and showers overnight and into Saturday. Drier weather returns Sunday through early next week

Showers and wind are due to a stalled low-pressure system centered well south and east of Nantucket. The heaviest rain so far, has been confined to southeastern Mass/Cape and Islands, while other location have had much lighter amounts. Rain coverage will increase across Rhode Island and eastern Connecticut overnight and into Saturday
PRE-DAWN SATURDAY: (Now Thru 5am)
Windy, cool with rain and drizzle. Slight risk of an isolated thunderstorm. Temperatures lows in the upper 50s to 60. Winds northeast 10-20 mph, gusting 25-30 mph at times, especially along the shore

LOOKING AHEAD
A 50/50 weekend ahead with showers likely on Saturday and an overall drier day Sunday with peeks of sunshine. Highs will stay cool in the lowers 60s Saturday, upper 60s by Sunday afternoon
