PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) -- Major delays expected on 164 in Portsmouth on Friday, due to multi-vehicle crash. Around 7 p.m., Portsmouth police responded to a call for a two-vehicle accident on 164 westbound. Upon arrival, officers found an individual sustaining severe injuries. The individual was transported to a local hospital.  There are no additional details at this time. There is a detour in place at West Norfolk Road.
