Finally we saw some rain Friday! After going two weeks without rain, the heavens finally opened. Unfortunately, it came in the form of thunderstorms that caused damage in some parts of the area... Click below to learn more. Friday storms end dry spell and cause damage We next turn our attention to areas of dense fog that are expected Saturday morning. Slow down and give yourself plenty of time if you have plans in the morning hours. Temperatures to start the day will be in the lower 60s. A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 10 AM for a portion of our area. Areas of dense fog are likely Saturday morning.A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 10 AM Saturday for the counties shaded in gray. We're back to hot and dry conditions though on Saturday, which will be good news for the Johnny Appleseed Festival! Once the morning fog lifts, we'll see quite a bit of sunshine. High temperatures will climb into the upper 80s. After the morning fog, we'll be hot and dry once again Saturday. We finally have chances for more substantial rainfall coming on Sunday, as a weather system looks to move through the area. Look for showers and a few thunderstorms to develop as the day goes on. High temperatures will reach as high as the lower 80s to conclude the weekend. A few showers could linger into Monday before more rain tracks through on Tuesday from another area of low pressure. This is great news for the drought conditions in place! High temperatures will cool back into the 70s on both days. Drought has worsened this week.Better rain chances are in store though for the upcoming week! We'll stay in the 70s the rest of the week with perhaps another weather system tracking through later in the week. Stay tuned for updates. For now, we'll take as much rain as we can get!
