The Harvey Red Raiders are healthy — and they’re clicking. Shahn Alston carried six times for 208 yards and four touchdowns, and Chris Burt ran for 150-plus yards as Harvey beat Conneaut, 47-13, to run the Red Raiders’ winning streak to three. “The line did great,” Alston said. “They executed. We all executed, and we got the job done.” Alston missed the first two games of the season recovering from offseason ACL surgery. He has run for more than 600 yards in his three games (all Harvey wins) since returning. Harvey (3-2) will travel to Orange (4-1) in Week 6. The Lions lost to Jefferson, 50-42, on Sept. 20. “Three in a row feels good,” Alston said. “We’ve got some momentum going. It’s Orange’s homecoming. They scheduled us to be their homecoming game, so that’s all the motivation we need next week.” • Jake LaVerde ran for 95 yards and two touchdowns and also threw for 91 yards and two touchdowns as Kirtland beat Cuyahoga Heights, 48-7, to remain unbeaten at 5-0. Danny Alfieri and Jack Lessick had touchdown runs, while both Alfieri and Casey Carkhuff had touchdown receptions for Kirtland, which outgained Heights, 320-152. • Donovan Moorhead threw for 282 yards and four touchdowns and also ran for two scores as Hawken beat Lakeside, 60-38. Charlie Mallett caught eight passes for 109 yards, Kene Obi caught six passes for 105 yards and Ryan Whiting caught two touchdown passes for the Hawks (4-1). Jordan Johnson ran for 103 yards and two scores. • South made it a homecoming to remember with a 35-32 win over Lorain. Cane Balash and Jayden Hardy combined for 175 rushing yards and three touchdowns to pace South. The Rebels’ defense was keyed by Brady Namestnik’s two interceptions, including a pick-six. • Riverside scored 20 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to defeat Boardman, 37-21, to improve to 2-3. The Beavers trailed, 21-17, when Leo D’Astolfo kicked a field toal to narrow the gap. Three touchdowns, including a 43-yard run by Donovan Conwell and a 26-yarder by Kyndall McCaleb, put the icing on the cake. Riverside piled up 401 yards rushing, 190 by McCaleb, 108 by Conwell and 103 by David Seibert. • Jack Gellin ran for 132 yards and Jacob Kay ran for 125 as Chagrin Falls blanked Independence, 40-0. With the win, Chagrin improves to 3-2. • Drake Martinez ran for 77 yards and Brayden Sandstrom for 60 as North defeated Garfield Heights, 14-12. North is now 3-2 and has won two in a row heading into next week’s WRC opener against Garfield Heights.
