ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A Rochester man was accused of falling asleep in his car on Rt. 390 with a stolen pistol in his car. According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, a deputy found a disabled car blocking the right lane of traffic on Rt. 390 near the Scottsville Road off-ramp in Gates around 1:30 p.m. Thursday. The deputy said he approached the car and found 41-year-old Terry Britt sleeping behind the wheel. Britt allegedly had a loaded pistol lodged between his leg and the center console. Deputies determined that pistol had been reported stolen. Britt was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property. He was arraigned in Chili Town Court and taken to the Monroe County Jail.
