FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Fresno's Greek Festival returns to the city this weekend. The 2024 Fresno Greek festival will be from Friday through to Sunday. The event will be at the grounds of St. George Greek Orthodox Church at 2219 N. Orchard, Fresno. According to organizers, there will be tons of foods; gyros, vegetarian plates, greek fries, fried calamari, greek coffee and more. There will also be a Greek market, dancing and drinking. Organizers say that in the early 20th century, Greek immigrants arrived in Fresno, which formed the nucleus of the Greek community. They established a church, which was officially incorporated in 1923, and St. George's Church was built on Fresno Street in 1924. Tickets are available at the front gate. Tickets for adults are $8, tickets are $4 for those who are students and 65 and up. For children 12 and under and those who are active military with ID it is free. For more information, click here.
