DiCaprio's San Diegoarea filmed movie gets release date, possible name

(FOX40.COM) — The Leonardo DiCaprio-starring movie that was filmed in parts of San Diego County, including the Borrego Springs area, has a release date and reportedly has a tentative title.
According to entertainment reporter Jeff Sneider, the Paul Thomas Anderson-directed film, which was previously referred to as the BC Project, currently has the title "The Battle of Batkan Cross."
Deadline reports that the movie is set to release on August 8, 2025.

The movie is reportedly based on the 1990 Thomas Pynchon novel "Vineland."
In addition to filming in Sacramento at the start of this year, crews also filmed parts of the movie in Stockton and Humboldt County.
Actors Regina Hall and Sean Penn also star in the movie alongside DiCaprio.
