Wichita man convicted in beating homeless man to death

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - A Wichita man was found guilty of second-degree murder and possession of methamphetamine on Thursday.
Abel Molina, 34, was convicted in the beating death of 30-year-old Blake Barnes.
Molina, along with David Chandler, attacked Barnes with a pipe near Seneca and McClean on Feb. 22, 2022. Chandler has been sentenced for his role in the attack.
Mother of Wilson Price asks if son’s death was preventable
Molina will be sentenced on Nov. 6.
All men were known to be homeless at the time, police said.
