KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A federal grand jury in Kansas City returned an indictment on Friday charging a 41-year-old man with robbing a bank in Lawrence, Kansas back in July. According to court documents, Alfonzo Cole, of Lawrence, is charged with one count of bank robbery. He's accused of using force, violence and intimidation to take money from an employee at the Bank of America branch at W. 9th Street and Ohio Street on July 2, 2024. Lawrence police say no injuries were reported during the incident. The FBI is investigating the case.
