TOPEKA (KSNT) - Federal health officials say milk shipped to stores in multiple states is being recalled Friday due to allergy worries. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a statement online that HP Hood LLC is recalling some of its 96 oz containers of Lactaid Milk shipped out to retailers and wholesalers from Sept. 5, 2024 to Sept. 18, 2024. The recall was started as the milk may contain traces of almond which is not listed on the label, posing an allergy hazard for some consumers. The milk was shipped to states including Alabama, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming. No illnesses in connection to this recalled milk have been reported yet. 14,000 strawberry snacks sold nationwide recalled due to elevated lead The FDA said the recall applies to a select amount of the 96 oz plastic containers of refrigerated Lactaid Milk with the code "51-4109 P2." People who purchased the milk can return it to the place of purchase for an exchange or refund.
