WILLIAMSBURG, Mass. (WWLP) - A Springfield man faces drug charges after more than five pounds of marijuana was seized during a traffic stop on Route 9 in Williamsburg. Suspects arrested in connection with 14 armed robberies in Springfield According to the Williamsburg Police Department, last week officers were on patrol conducting speed enforcement on Route 9 when a vehicle was observed allegedly speeding. A traffic stop was conducted and during the interaction, police say that there were several indicators of suspected drug activity. With the assistance of Easthampton Police Sgt. Beaulieu and K9 Gino, more than five pounds of marijuana and some cocaine were located inside the vehicle.
