HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A middle school-aged child was shot on West Broad Street in Henrico County on Friday. Just after 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, officers with the Henrico County Police Division responded to the 4900 block of West Broad Street, just outside of Richmond, for report of a child who had been shot. When officers arrived, they found an unidentified middle school-aged child with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. According to police, they were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Detectives remain at the scene as of the time of reporting and are actively investigating this incident.
