RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Richmond Police Department charged a driver after they reportedly struck an 11-year-old and a 13-year-old while they were walking in the city's Church Hill neighborhood. According to police, at approximately 7:27 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, officers were dispatched to North 33rd Street after it was reported that a driver struck two pedestrians. Officers arrived on the scene and found the pedestrians, an 11-year-old and a 13-year-old. They were taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The driver, who remained at the scene after the crash, was charged with disregarding a stop sign.
