WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) -- The Sam's Inn restaurant on West Shore Road in Warwick has reopened after a recent car crash forced it to temporarily close its doors to customers. BACKGROUND: Car crashes into Warwick restaurant "We are thrilled to announce that we are able to safely reopen tomorrow, Thursday, Sept. 19," the restaurant said in a social media post on Wednesday. "Thank you for all your messages of concern and support." "We were very lucky and blessed that there were no injuries at all from Saturday's accident," the post continued. According to police, a gas line broke when a car struck the building on Saturday, prompting an evacuation. They say the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
