DE PERE, Wis. (WFRV) - A Green Bay woman who was just sentenced for her role in a deadly fire back in 2020 was arrested not even a week later for allegedly resisting arrest. According to a criminal complaint, 20-year-old Marcelia Fonseca was taken into custody on September 19 and is charged with resisting an officer. On September 19 around 11:10 a.m., officers with the De Pere Police Department were sent to the Probation and Parole Office to help bring Marcelia into custody. When authorities got there, Mareclia allegedly started to verbally resist. The complaint says that she has a history of resistive behavior. The warrant was related to a disturbance she was accused of being involved in the previous week, according to the complaint. The complaint says that Marcelia kept refusing commands of the officers and she was eventually physically restrained. She allegedly kept verbally and physically resisting officers but was eventually handcuffed. Marcelia was just sentenced on September 13 for her role in a Green Bay house fire that killed an 11-month-old. She was 15 years old at the time of the incident. The child that died was her nephew. She was charged with homicide by negligent handling of dangerous weapon/explosive. For the incident on September 19, she is charged with: Resisting an Officer, Repeater Misdemeanor Up to nine months in prison (Can be increased by up to two years.
