Law enforcement in South Carolina have located the man accused of shooting a McBee police officer during a traffic stop on Thursday night. The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Alston Modlin, was found dead, according to the Lee County Coroner’s Office. A Blue Alert was previously issued. Modlin was said to be traveling in a 2023 Toyota Tacoma with a South Carolina license plate KRF577 with a LEER sticker on the back window. No further details were released. An investigation is ongoing.
