The trio of Baton Rouge riverboat casinos collectively experienced a revenue boost in August after a dip in July. The Belle of Baton Rouge, L’Auberge Baton Rouge and The Queen earned $20.5 million in August, up 3.6% from $19.8 million the previous month. The revenues are up 4.5% compared to August 2023, according to the latest Louisiana Gaming Control Board figures. L’Auberge brought in $13.2 million in August, $819,649 more than it did in July. However, the casino experienced a 9.8% dip compared to August 2023. The Belle of Baton Rouge earned $571,801, an increase of $89,431 compared to the previous month, but a 53% revenue decline from August 2023. The Queen brought in $6.8 million last month, $192,768 less than the $7 million earned in July. But it was quite the turnaround from August 2023: Up 77.8%. Louisiana’s 15 riverboat casinos collected $147 million in August, a 6.6% increase from the previous month and 8.2% more than last year. The Queen―with its grand opening following a two-year, $85 million renovation―was the most visited Baton Rouge casino in August, with 104,455 visitors. L’Auberge was next, with 91,179 guests.
