BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Six people were arrested after 42 items believed to be stolen were recovered from a Super 8 Motel in Bakersfield. Bakersfield Police Department Detectives have arrested Tracy Moore, 26, Fatima Hernandez, 34, Erica Curiel, 36, and Lupita Aldana, 33, under suspicion of organized retail theft, grand theft and conspiracy. After a grand theft of Bath and Body Works on Stockdale Highway on Sept. 19, detectives located multiple suspects at a Super 8 Motel on S. Union Avenue. Sweets by J brings the ‘Bubble Waffle’ to the Kern County Fair Detectives executed a search warrant at the motel and discovered 42 items believed to be stolen and one unregistered firearm, according to police. Two people inside the motel at the time were also arrested. John Gonzalez, 48, was arrested for firearm-related charges and Adela Sanchez, 33, was arrested for an outstanding felony arrest warrant, according to police. Bakersfield Police Department says they received assistance from the Special Enforcement Bureau during this operation.
