KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Whether you’re looking for a fall event, an art festival, or live music, there will be something going on in the Kansas City metro for you! Here are 10 events going on this weekend — Sept. 20 through Sept. 22 — that are worth checking out. Head to the Country Club Plaza Friday through Sunday to check out over two hundred artists; plus live music and more than 20 restaurant booths. It's happening from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Organizers say it usually brings in a quarter million people. Halloween Haunt at Worlds of Fun The Halloween Haunt returns to worlds of fun this weekend! Last year, the event needed a separate ticket, but Worlds of Fun says this year, it's included in your gate admission, or with a gold pass and above. The park says the event is intense, and parental discretion is advised. Jurassic Park Orchestra You can hear the classic John Williams score for Jurassic Park live in concert and watch the movie this weekend at the Kauffman Center. The Kansas City Symphony Orchestra will perform along with the film. It's happening Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and a 2 p.m. matinée Sunday.Tickets start around $60. GloWild at Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium Glo Wild continues at the Kansas City Zoo and Aquarium this weekend. General admission tickets are $24 for adults and $22 for children, seniors and the military. The event goes until the end of the year. It takes about an hour and a half to walk through all of the lights and attractions. See the latest headlines in Kansas City and across Kansas, Missouri Kansas City Royals vs San Francisco Giants Happening this weekend -- the Kansas City Royals take on the San Francisco Giants. The royals are coming back from a sweep by the tigers this week. The series against the Giants begins Friday and runs through Sunday at Kauffman Stadium. This is the Royals' final homestand of the regular season. Styx at Cable Dahmer Arena The multi-platinum rock and roll band "Styx" is in town this weekend. They're performing at Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence on Saturday. British rocker John Waite will join them on the tour. The show starts at 7:30 on Saturday night.Tickets start around $70. Camp Leavenworth The fifth annual Camp Leavenworth is a free two-day festival that invites everyone to discover the wonders of Leavenworth. Camp Leavenworth will feature Friday night fireworks, family activities, and more. It's happening from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday. Sunflower farms to visit in the Kansas City area for 2024 Shawnee Town Arts & Crafts Fair & Fall Festival The 44th annual Friends of Shawnee Town Arts & Crafts Fair & Fall Festival will have over 130 vendors where guests can purchase homemade and re-purposed items, free kids activities and live music throughout the day. Admission is just $1 and all the money raised benefits the museum’s education programs. Downtown KCK Third Fridays The Third Friday Art Walk drives support between artists, businesses and the community. Every month, portions of 6th Street shut down for the Art Walk. Start at Epic Arts Clay Studio to browse work by creative vendors within the road closure. You can experience an evening of diverse music, food, and art. The event starts Friday, at 5 p.m. on 6th Street, up to Minnesota Ave. Mizzou vs Vanderbilt Mizzou takes on Vanderbilt this weekend in Columbia. Kickoff is at 3:15 p.m. Saturday afternoon for their first conference game of the season. KU and K-State both have away games this weekend. KU plays West Virginia at 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning and the K-State plays BYU at 9:30 Saturday night.
